Company Profile-Beijing Headquarters of Suntrans:
Beijing Suntrans Language Translation Co., Ltd was established by some professors and experts at China University of Geo-sciences in 2006. It is a professional translation services provider in Beijing with registration and approval of the Beijin Administration for Industry and Commerce. Adhering to the principle of “integrity-based, client focus”, the company provides quality services to our customers from a number of sectors of the world.
The company has excellent translation teams consisting of translators, quality con-trol professionals, typesetting and software application experts and first-class management. It now has over 300 full-time and part-time translators and more than 50 core quality control experts conversant with different languages and industries. The professionals all come from top universities, such as Stanford University, University of Michigan, Miami University, Moscow University, University of Tokyo, Peking University, Tsinghua University and Beijing Foreign Studies University, etc. All translators have at least a master’s degree with solid working experience in translation and relevant academic degrees in different industries or translation. They are versed in languages and terms in different industries and can translate accurately; in particular, the petroleum, geology and chemical industries. The United States Division of Suntrans was formally founded in September, 2008, and is characterized by the following three features:
①Multi-linguistic availability:• Since the foundation of the US Office, we have recruited more and more outstanding interpreters and translators from the United States, China, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Russia, India, the Philippines, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe etc. These consultants are committed to providing our clients with a wide array of translation services and are playing essential roles in widely and rapidly developing Suntrans businesses.
②High-quality Translation:• Translators and interpreters are matched with projects that are closely related to their specialties, and are assigned to translate source lan-guages into their respective mother tongues. Suntrans employs many professional consultants who are experts in their respective languages to review translation dra-fts and strictly control the translation quality. Guo Lu:one of the founders of Suntrans Translation Company, a visiting scholar at Geology Department of Miami University, Ohio, US, a PhD candidate with specialty of Mineral Deposits and Geomicrobiology at China University of Geosciences (Beijing). He was engaged in professionalgeolo-gical translator and interpreter for the largest global mining company BHP Billiton (http://www.bhpbilliton.com) in the project of Exploration of NorthChina Porphyry Copper Deposits in 2006 and 2007. He registered Suntrans Translation Company (http://www.bjsuntrans.com) with another 5 founders based on rich experience in building translation team in 2006. He chiefly translated The Specification of Testing Quality Management for Geological Laborato -riand a large number of geological reports and engineering data. He has frequently played an interpreter for many large-scale international conferences since 2008, and was interviewed by American Broadcasting Company (ABC) TV station and Oxford Press.

Joseph W. Leonard: Ph.D., 1983, University of Arkansas. Major: Management. Minors: Marketing and Statistics. From 1983 to present he has been: a full-time business faculty member at Miami University, consulted with Family Dollar Stores, Proctor & Gamble, Liz Claiborne, and small busi-nesses including a furniture store, restaurant, solar energy company, recycling and environmental testing company, casino, silk screen printing com-pany (t-shirts, etc.), movie theatre, IT supplier, retail copy shop, bicycle shop, federal government contractors, plastic auto parts supplier, machine shop, gift shop, and others. Overseas travel experiences in more than 20 countries, including more than 25 visits to Asia. His primary teaching has been undergraduate and MBA-level Stra-tegic Management and International Business courses. He has led workshops for business students in the Pacific Rim (China, Korea, Japan, and Hawaii) and in Wes-tern Europe (Luxembourg and Switzerland). Professor Leonard has also taught part-time at Hakuoh University in Japan, University of Arkansas, Pittsburg State Univer-sity, and University of Maryland. His main research interest includes: strategic management and control, business in Japan, CEOs and boards of directors, international business, business decision making in China, and company-based case studies. He has consulted with small and large companies and worked full-time for six years at a Fortune 500 company in a marketing position. Additionally, he currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors of Miami Nation-Enterprises and serves the Ohio Historical Society as a member of the board of trustees. Professor Leonard has authored or co-authored numerous books, scholarly journal articles, book chap-ters, and conference proceedings. He has part-time engaged in management and enterprise strategy planning for Suntrans Translation Company since the summer of 2009.

Yumei Sun: One of the founders of Suntrans Translation Company, she obtained a Master’s degree in Environmental Chemistry from Ch-ina University of Geosciences. She has accumulated rich experience in managing several teams for Suntrans Translation Company in the past years, contributed greatly in team building efforts in the offices in China along with those in the United States, as well as the building of company culture e.g. the proposal of a happy, healthy and wealthy work environment.

Pierre Katona :
Master of Science in Computer Science at Miami University. He has more than 10-year experience on Software Design and Development, serving for British Petroleum, Cleveland Pneumatic, Dow Chemical, General Electric, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, Lub-rizol, Reliance Electric. Now he is mainly responsible for website localization and software translation.
